| Job Summary | Join our dynamic Pre-Award Office within the Vice President for Research (VPR) as a Grant/Contract Officer I, an entry-level position offering a pathway to future career development in research administration. This unique opportunity is within a new unit in the Pre-Award Office and involves comprehensive training to assist faculty with the preparation and submission of applications for extramural funding. In addition, you’ll initiate and oversee applications, create checklists of application requirements, aid in budget development, review submission documents, and collaborate with the Office of Sponsored Projects to ensure successful submission of applications. This position offers training avenues to lead collaborative initiatives and cultivate innovative and creative approaches to addressing research funding challenges. | Minimum Qualifications | EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels: Pre-Award Grants & Contract Officer (GCO), I: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s (or equivalency) degree. Pre-Award Grants & Contract Officer (GCO), II: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience. |
