8 Fully - funded PhD Scholarships – Joint Ph.D. in Management University of Trento and University of Bozen-Bolzano. Italy. 

The University of Trento is now inviting applications from qualified candidates for 8 PhD Scholarships in the

PhD programme in Management – jointly with the Free University of Bozen - Bolzano

The PhD programme in Management, jointly offered by the University of Trento and the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, is grounded in the principles of responsible management education and research. The programme aims to advance theoretical and applied research in business and management through the acquisition of theoretical knowledge, of expertise in cutting-edge methodologies, of critical thinking and creativity. 

A unique feature of the programme is the involvement of scholars from two leading Universities, allowing students to benefit from two supervisors and two faculty groups’ inputs. PhD students are encouraged to spend a study period abroad, supported by extra funding. 

Particular emphasis will be given to Research proposals concerning behaviour and decision-making of various types of organizations (e.g., start-ups, SMEs, family businesses, hospitality/tourism facilities etc.), with regard to:

• Entrepreneurship
• Innovation management
• Organisational design and human resource management
• Strategy and knowledge management
• Accounting and accountability.

The focus may be at the cutting edge of knowledge in these areas and may include, but is not limited to, topics such as AI and digital transformation, sustainability and ESG indicators, circular economy in regional development, international expansion, as well as other topics.

The programme is full-time and will be taught in English by members of the university’s multi-national faculty. No tuition fees are charged, and the scholarships are adequate to cover living expenses in Trento, with extra funds for study period abroad.
