Workday ITS Analyst

Hiring Range: $82,900 – $94,700

This is not a ticket-taking support role. It is a hands-on technical and functional position where you will configure, enhance, optimize, and support the Workday platform across HCM, Finance, and Student modules—directly impacting how the University operates every day.

What You Will Do

Configure & Enhance Workday

  • Maintain and enhance Workday business processes and condition rules.

  • Support ongoing optimization across HCM, Finance, and Student modules

  • Review and test Workday releases 

  • Assist with testing and implementing available Workday modules and functionality

Diagnose & Solve

  • Investigate and resolve end-user, business process, security, and integration issues

  • Perform configuration analysis, testing, and scenario recreation

  • Identify process improvements and recommend innovative solutions (aligned with governance standards)

Partner with the Business

  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Student, and campus stakeholders to understand operational needs

  • Translate business requirements into technical configurations

  • Serve as liaison between departments and Information Technology Services

Lead & Support Projects

  • Assist in defined-scope projects and new functionality implementations

  • Review release notes, assess impacts, and guide rollout planning

  • Partner with ITS Project Managers to support on-time delivery

Reporting & Data Stewardship

  • Develop reports for notifications, questionnaires, and operational needs

  • Build and maintain calculated fields

  • Maintain strong data integrity standards

  • Support analytics and decision-making through reliable system outputs

  • Support Workday Prism data sets and reporting

Stay Current

  • Actively engage in the Workday Community

  • Monitor trends and product developments

  • Participate in user groups and professional forums

What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • BA/BS required (CIS, MIS, or related field preferred) or equivalent HRIS experience

  • 3–5 years configuring and maintaining Workday 

  • Experience with:

    • Condition rules

    • Security fundamentals

    • Workday integration fundamentals

    • Request Framework, forms, questionnaires

    • Custom objects

    • Knowledge of Workday Extend a plus

    • Knowledge of Workday Drive and Worksheets a plus

Functional Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of HR and Finance core processes

  • Knowledge of Student systems a plus

  • Ability to translate business requirements into operational solutions

Technical & Professional Strengths

  • Experience building and executing test scripts

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability

  • Comfort managing multiple high-priority projects

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High discretion handling confidential data

  • Service-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail

Please note this is not a fully remote position and will require coming in to our campus located in Waltham, MA.
