Overview

Arts & Science is seeking a dynamic Video and Photography Producer to join the Arts & Science Communications office. This individual will manage all aspects of video and photography production, from concept to completion, on behalf of the division. Produce high-quality, multi-channel video and photography content that aligns with Arts & Science strategic goals and develop a consistent visual style and brand identity in all video and photography productions. Implement motion graphics, animations, and sound design to enhance storytelling. Work collaboratively and strategically to create visually compelling content to build awareness, inform key audiences, and drive engagement. Coordinate with faculty, students, and staff to create content that highlights research, academic programs, events, student life, and the impact of Arts & Science. Assess audience engagement data and improve content strategies. Manage library of digital assets for use across the division. Serve as a resource to faculty, students, and staff in the design and development of engaging video and photography assets.


Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in video production, filmmaking, or a related field, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Required Experience:
3+ years experience in a related field.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Passionate and creative storyteller. Demonstrated experience in conceiving and producing strong visual stories through video and photography, optimizing formats across platforms. Ability to produce and edit video to clearly and concisely convey messages that align with the team's goals. Extensive experience with video and photography equipment and tools supporting video production, including cameras, lighting kits, and microphones. Demonstrated creative eye for innovative composition and design of videos. Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and other A/V editing software. Ability to organize and keep track of large amounts of media. Knowledge of copyright, image permissions and fair use protocols for music and video resources supporting production.


Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $75,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
