Job Summary
The Honors College is seeking a motivated and creative Marketing and Communications Student Ambassador to join our marketing team. This offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, communications and content creation while working closely with the Honors College. The student ambassador will be responsible for creating compelling written and visual content, maintaining an active social media presence, and attending annual celebration events.

Responsibilities
  • Content Creation: Compose graphics and videos to highlight the Honors College programs, events, and opportunities.
  • Editing and Revisions: Edit content based on feedback from the Marketing Manager, ensuring clarity, coherence, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Social Media Collaboration: Collaborate with social and campus partner media feeds, including creating/sharing posts and engaging with the Honors College community and students.
  • Image Editing and Graphic Design: Perform basic image editing and graphic design tasks to create visually appealing social media content.
  • Event Support: Assist in the promotion of celebration events and on-site content creation.
  • Additional Tasks: Participate in other marketing-related tasks as needed to support the team’s goals.

Minimum Qualifications
Preferences
  • Education: Applicants must be currently working towards an honors degree.
  • Writing Experience: Strong writing skills.
  • Social Media Skills: Familiarity with social media management and content creation; experience with platforms such as Canva, Adobe, and Instagram.
  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in image editing software (e.g., Canva) and graphic design principles.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
