Job Summary
Student Affairs is comprised of nearly 20 departments and is focused on supporting student well-being and success with the ultimate goal of assisting students in discovering their passion, people, and purpose. Student Affairs departments serve all students at the University of Utah, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who come from a variety of backgrounds. In order to best support our students, it is important that staff stay aware of issues and best practices related to student development, identity, and sense of belonging, both locally and nationally.
  • Provide quality and decisive supervision of intramural activities.
  • Facilitate a fun, safe and welcoming environment for participants.
  • Assist the Intramural Sports Supervisor with the Intramural Sports Program.

This position is work study eligible, but work study is not required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide quality officiating by enforcing the rules and ensuring participation in a safe manner
  • Provide pre-game assistance in setting up equipment
  • Assist in examining facility for safety hazards
  • Assist in post-game duties· Maintain an appropriate professional demeanor at all times
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the sport’s rules and regulations
  • Respond to injuries and assist in immediate first aid and proper emergency procedures
  • Address potential conflicts before they escalate
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current University of Utah Student
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • CPR certification required or able to complete via in house within one month
