| Position Summary | This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Program Mentor for the University Housing and Dining Services Admin at Oregon State University (OSU). The Thrive Scholar Internship (TSI) Program is a professional development opportunity sponsored by University Housing & Dining Services (UHDS). In consultation with Diversity Initiatives and Programs (DIP), the Thrive Mentor supports the 14 Thrive Scholar Interns in their transition to college and their personal, academic, and internship success. The TSI program mentor role is a live-in, peer mentorship student leadership position within Diversity Initiatives and Programs, a unit of University Housing and Dining Services (UHDS). Supervised by the Diversity Initiatives and Program Coordinator, Mentors are expected to dedicate an average of approximately 20 hours per week over the academic year. Responsibilities fluctuate across the year and are not governed by fixed hourly schedules or timekeeping practices. The TSI Mentor role is structured as a co-curricular learning and leadership experience emphasizing mentoring, facilitation, reflection, and professional development. The TSI mentor is responsible for creating weekly professional development opportunities with support from the DIP Coordinator, conduct a biweekly one-on-one meeting with each intern, produce and engage with weekly journal entries, and assist with the overall leadership of the program. The TSI Program mentor will also assist in the selection of the new class of interns during the Spring 2027 term.
