Position Summary:
This position is full time, tenure-track in the Department of Applied Psychology and Counselor Education, located on our main campus in Greeley, Colorado with additional teaching in our extended campus programs in Denver and Loveland. Responsibilities include teaching graduate courses in our CACREP accredited master’s and doctoral degree programs (Clinical Mental Health Counseling; Couples, Marriage, and Family Counseling/Therapy; School Counseling; Counselor Education and Supervision programs). The person in this position will serve in a nine-month contract.
Job Duties:
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: teaching (60%), research (including dissertation research advising) 20%, and service (20%). Individuals should demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with others and possess a commitment to diversity and social justice. Individuals from underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate may also supervise practicum students in our on-site training clinic or in external placements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Earned PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision from a CACREP Accredited Program. Licensed or License-Eligible as a School Counselor or Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching graduate-level counseling courses.
- Experience supervising practicum and internship students in clinical or school settings.
- Evidence of effective academic advising and mentoring of graduate students.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in counselor education.
- Record of service to professional organizations (e.g., ACA, ASCA, ACES).
- Active engagement in scholarly activities related to counseling or counselor education.
- Experience with CACREP accreditation processes and standards.
- Experience collaborating with schools, community agencies, or clinical settings.
- Ability to contribute to program development and curriculum innovation.
- Experience mentoring doctoral students in research, dissertation development, and scholarly writing.
