The Opportunity
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Summer Camp Support and Registration Specialist to support our K-12 Education Outreach summer programs.
This role is critical to the success of camp operations, assisting with registration processes, daily logistics, and camper support. The position also serves as a backup to the Dorm Office Coordinator, helping oversee residential operations as needed.
This position requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Availability for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Camp Operations & Logistics
Manage camp schedules, supplies, and daily operational needs
Support supervision of camp counselors and ensure adherence to policies
Assist campers with questions, concerns, and day-to-day needs
Prepare and distribute supplies, snacks, and materials for activities
Coordinate flight equipment distribution and collection
Collaborate with campus departments to obtain required student documentation
Assist with check-in/check-out preparation and documentation
Support daily program logistics and scheduling
Dorm Operations Support
Serve as backup Dorm Office Coordinator for evening/weekend shifts
Monitor residential activities and ensure policy compliance
Assist with equipment tracking, inventory, and distribution
Support nightly reporting and communication with program leadership
Help ensure camper safety and accountability during all activities
Training & Leadership Support
Participate in staff training related to minors’ policies and camp procedures
Represent program leadership when needed
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
3–5 years of relevant experience
Required Skills & Abilities
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to problem-solve and make independent decisions
Strong attention to detail, especially with registration and documentation
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general technology systems
Additional Requirements
Valid Florida driver’s license (or ability to obtain)
Ability to pass a background check (required for working with minors)
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced environment
