Job Summary: The Student Marketing Intern serves as a marketing team member and an ambassador for The University of Alabama during Bama Bound. This role helps welcome incoming students and families by introducing them to campus dining and supports their transition into the first‑year experience. 


Additional Department Summary: The intern plays a key part in on‑site engagement, content creation, and brand storytelling that shapes the first impression thousands of new students have of dining at UA. Provides creative marketing support for Bama Dining. Assists in executing themed dining events and promotional campaigns. Creates engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook). Drafts signage, flyers, and email copies for campus-wide communications. Captures food features and student interactions. Manages giveaways, tabling events, and interactive stations. Tracks engagement metrics.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Currently enrolled at the University of Alabama.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Social media trends and platforms experience. Branding, event planning, or digital marketing history. Basic graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).


Skills and Knowledge: Time management. Organization. Proactive. Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications: Social media content creation experience.
