Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary
The Student Assistant will support Dr. Yuxin Wen in CPSC392 Introduction to Data Science.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in grading assignments, quizzes, projects, and other materials given a rubric by the instructor
  • Post assignments and prepare materials for the course in conjunction with the instructor
  • Post grades and provide feedback on assignments on Canvas
  • Hold walk-in help hours to give targeted feedback on assignment grading and assist students with assignments
  • Respond to student inquiries via Slack and email as needed
Required Qualifications
Has completed CPSC392 and earned an A- or above.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems such as Canvas
  • Experience tutoring, mentoring and/or teaching at the undergraduate level
  • Excellent communication skill
