Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary
Provide editing support for Dodge events + provide general event assistance.
This role begins in the August 2026 school year.
Please note – this position is separate than the general Event Assistant position – as this specific role requires a student with editing experience. The Event Assistant position will be separately posted.
Responsibilities
Editing
  • Edit event footage and store footage
  • Ability to turn around footage with tight turnaround times
  • Work on larger-scale projects, such as reels and event promos
  • Ability to send deliverables in a timely manner
  • When needed, support filming at events.

Event Assistance
  • General assistance with dinners and events, including but not limited to: Master Classes, Mixers, Career Center Workshops, Chapman University Annual Events, Donor-related Film Festivals, and Screenings
  • This assistance may include areas such as check in, VIP relations, event set-up, event tear-down, amongst other areas.
Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Editing Software
  • Experience Editing
Desired Qualifications
  • Prefer a student majoring in Editing
  • Graphic design experience helpful.
