Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary
Under the supervisor of the Career Center team, the Student Career Services Assistant will provide support with day-to-day operations and customer service, job and internship research, career event support, database maintenance, and other career-related projects as assigned. This person will ideally transition into a Peer Advisor role in their Junior/Senior year, supporting students one-on-one with resume, cover letter, and career resources.
Responsibilities
  • Act as career representative in Career Center, providing quality customer service to students, faculty, staff, and donors visiting the space
  • Engage in career projects, including research and database assignments to track relevant employers and alumni
  • Commit to assisting team at least two career workshops per semester, aiding with student check-in, guest support, and other tasks as needed
  • Transition into Student Peer Advisor following proper training, supporting students with basic resume and cover letter support, and other career related resources
  • More career related duties as assigned by Career Team
Required Qualifications
  • Strong customer services skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Google Suite & Microsoft Office
  • Passion for research and connecting with others
Desired Qualifications
  • Ideally, has completed at least one internship
