Student Wellness and Health Promotion
Job Summary
The Student Assistant will support the Student Wellness and Health Promotion as a Program Assistant on the Armstrong Campus beginning Spring 2026.
Employment is contingent upon funding.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the planning, scheduling, administration, management, supervision, and facilitation of programming across all wellness topics
- Assists with the planning, preparing and facilitation of collaborative activities, administrative duties, completing assessments and reports, data collection and analysis
- Assists with the daily administration of program activities, management of programs and events, and meetings
- All Student Wellness & Health Promotion staff must adhere to strict confidentiality protocol as outlined by HIPAA
- Travels to Statesboro Campus as needed
Shift Specifics
- Up to 20 hours per week
- Flexible with schedule of availability
- Shifts available Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Availability to include some nights and weekends
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education
- Strong background in at least one of the following areas:
- Counseling
- Psychology
- Program development and facilitation
- Research
- Grant management
- Public health and/or education
Preferred Experience
- Comfortable with research and/or grant management
- Capability to supervise others
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Valid driver's license
Proposed Salary
$15.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
