Position Summary:

Identifies psychosocial priorities and needs of lung cancer screening patients and their family unit with focus on the LDCT Mobile Unit. Offers support to eliminate barriers to care. Serves as advocate for patients/families with other agencies and links them with appropriate community/medical resources to address barriers to care. Works closely with the physicians and their staff to meet the needs of all lung cancer screening patients and is an integral member of the healthcare team.


Position Qualification:

Masters - Required

Minimum 3 years' experience as a social worker in a health-related field (oncology preferably).
Understands insurance policies regarding coverage of resources. Knowledgeable of available community resources for patients and families.
