These are part-time positions supported by a Department of Energy (DOE)-funded collaboration project between ASU and Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab). The selected candidates will contribute to experimental testing, data analysis, and machine learning (ML) modeling related to the mechanical behavior of ion-irradiated High Entropy Alloys (HEAs). Research activities include nanoindentation testing, materials characterization, and the development and interpretation of ML predictive models using data-driven approaches. The work will integrate experimental results with ML modeling efforts to understand and predict irradiation-induced mechanical behavior, supporting the development of advanced materials for high-power particle accelerator applications. The project will generate publishable research outcomes in collaboration with national laboratory partners. These positions are part-time, benefits-eligible. These positions are funded by a grant. Continued employment beyond the period of grant funding cannot be guaranteed.
