The Walensky laboratory of cancer chemical biology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School is seeking an energetic, efficient, and resourceful Research Technician interested in gaining experience under a principal investigator who serves as a physician, scientist, and educator.

Specific research duties will include experimentation in a variety of areas spanning chemistry, biochemistry, and cancer cell biology. Responsibilities could include ligand binding analyses, protein production and purification, assays on cells, purified organelles, and cell lysates. The primary area of research focus is deregulated cell death and transcriptional pathways in cancer, with a major interest in overcoming chemoresistance through the development and application of novel chemical tools and prototype therapeutics.
The successful candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in laboratory-based research. They will demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, follow protocols precisely, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced, collaborative research environment. The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player with strong written and verbal communication skills, basic computer and data-management proficiency, excellent interpersonal skills, and the capacity to work independently under guidance while contributing effectively to an interdisciplinary research team
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an academic or industrial basic science laboratory
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and/or molecular biology techniques Familiarity with standard laboratory instrumentation and data documentation practices Experience working in an interdisciplinary research setting.

Pay Transparency Statement
The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate?s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
$47,500.00 - $51,300.00
