| Position Summary | The Research Technician in the Aleman Lab will perform scientific experiments including, but not limited to, animal models, tissue processing, genotyping, blood clotting assays, microscopy, histology, immunoassays, cell culture, lentiviral transduction, DNA and RNA isolation, and other molecular biology approaches. The Research Technician will maintain a laboratory notebook of experiments and other laboratory records. In addition, the Research Technician will perform basic laboratory maintenance including media and reagent preparation, placing supply orders, autoclaving, dish washing, and general lab cleanliness. The Research Technician will be expected to participate in and present their research at recurring laboratory meetings. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. |
| Management Preferences | Coursework in chemistry, biology, genetics, or related discipline Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite Experience in performing laboratory math, cell culture, or DNA/RNA isolation and analyses Experience in animal handling Molecular biology lab experience |
