Job Description
Purpose:
The Research Assistant will conduct research on multi-vessel, riser, and mooring coupled dynamic analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct analytical and numerical research on multi-vessel, riser, and mooring coupled dynamic systems, including modeling, simulation, and interpretation of results.
- Develop, document, and validate dynamic analysis methodologies, incorporating advanced control and damping technologies relevant to offshore engineering applications.
- Write and publish research papers, reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
What Is Helpful:
- MS in Ocean Engineering
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of the Application of Magnetorheological Damper and Magnetorheological Elastomer Tensioner in Offshore Two-Body Hawser System
Work Location:
- Main Campus – College Station, TX.
