Job Description
Manages project activities including developing and implementing project plans, tracking budgets, monitoring timelines and deliverables, providing periodic evaluations and reports, and assisting in proposal development.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project portfolios that are generally small-to-medium in scope, in alignment with business strategies and established project management standards.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation..
- Coordinate project resources in collaboration with other project managers.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to schedule, track, and coordinate project activities.
- Monitor and manage project budgets and financial performance.
- Manages project quality control and assurance.
- Establish goals and success metrics for project delivery.
- Apply best practices in vendor selection, contract negotiation, and project lifecycle management.
- Provide direction to project team members, as appropriate.
- Prepares and submits monthly and annual progress reports. Tracks project deliverables, publications, and outcomes while ensuring the security of data.
- Works under general supervision with guidance on complex issues.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What we need:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Three years of related experience.
Competencies:
- Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment system or water treatment system.
About the RAD Lab
The mission of the Robotics and Automation Design (RAD) Lab is to design and deploy resilient robots tailored for harsh terrestrial and extraterrestrial environments, while fostering safe exploration and collaboration between humans and robots. We will cultivate the next generation of engineers, guiding them to usher in the next chapter of robotics. Started in January 2022, with a handful of graduate students, the lab now consists of 37 staff members, research engineers, and graduate students operating out of both the James J. Cain ’51 Building and the Research Integration Center (RIC) on the RELLIS campus, and frequently collaborates with the Human Empowering Robotics and Control (HERC) Lab .
