SCOPE OF POSITION

Supporting OSUWMC Ambulatory Administration, the Project Manager leads and/or participates in initiatives focused on operational excellence to meet or exceed organizational objectives related to high‑quality clinical care, health equity, resource stewardship, operational efficiency, strategic growth and other related key strategic areas. This role also is engaged in performing comprehensive analyses to identify trends, operational and financial impacts, and opportunities for significant improvements and impact. Additionally, this role is responsible for sustaining ambulatory-wide high reliability organization (HRO) initiatives including ZerOHarm programming and other related initiatives.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Ambulatory Director of Nursing, The Project Manager coordinates and executes initiatives that improve quality, safety, patient experience, operational efficiency, and strategic growth across ambulatory services. The role promotes key programs such as the ZerOHarm initiative—supporting tiered huddles, quality‑improvement activities, and other high‑reliability efforts—and oversees the Ambulatory Administrator on Call program, including schedule management, training coordination, and ongoing program improvement.

The Project Manager also manages and supports a wide range of projects involving diverse stakeholders across operational, clinical, strategic, and support functions.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.


Additional Information:

PREFERED QUALIFICATION

Graduate of an MHA program or equivalent. Background in project management and process improvement in healthcare preferred. Knowledge of medical office operations and systems; familiar with guidelines regarding patient confidentiality issues, OSHA, Joint Commission, customer service, and knowledge regarding the clinical operations and needs of a medical facility.
