I. JOB OVERVIEW
| Job Description Summary: | The Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) is responsible for leading the university’s alumni and fundraising efforts and seeks to promote a culture of philanthropy throughout the university community, including alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, corporations and foundations, patients, and friends. Our goal is to advance GW’s mission of excellence in education, research, scholarship, and patient care. Job Summary: The Projects Coordinator, Principal and Planned Gifts, plays an integral role in supporting the Associate Vice President (AVP), Principal and Planned Gifts. The Associate Vice President oversees Principal Gifts, Planned Giving, Corporate and Foundation Relations, and Central Development. The Project Coordinator will also contribute to the smooth functioning of the Office of the Vice President, University Advancement. This support position is responsible for providing programmatic and administrative support on various development and alumni relations activities. Core responsibilities include managing the calendar and prioritizing requests for the AVP, Principal and Planned Gifts, preparation and compilation of materials and reports as directed by the AVP, Principal and Planned Gifts, as well as travel arrangements and expense reporting for the AVP, Principal and Planned Gifts. The Project Coordinator will track activity related to principal gifts including fundraising progress, donor strategies, and follow-up. The Project Coordinator provides enhanced administrative support to the Associate Vice President, Principal and Planned Gifts and secondary coverage for select members of the DAR leadership team as needed. The position requires a high level of judgment and discretion, the utmost attention to detail, and excellent customer service and organization, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize. The position also requires a steadfast commitment to confidentiality. Duties Include:

| Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
