Job Description

Responsible for administratively managing a University department under the general direction of a functional Program Director or under the auspices of a Program Advising Committee and according to an established program plan. May participate in the development of program objectives and is responsible for achieving objectives within defined parameters set by University and/or department policies and procedures or technical principles. May require fiscal management of grants and other funds. May manage multiple programs. Requires the use of independent judgment to determine the best approach to accomplish objectives established in the program plan. May supervise staff as needed.

Under general supervision, this position will coordinate and assist with activities and the preparation of grant and related materials, including preparing renewals and other grant reports, and maintaining accurate grant related records for the Leadership Education in Adolescent Health (LEAH) and Leadership in Pediatric Nutrition Program (LEPN) grants and the Division.

Duties:

  • Coordinates and assists with the preparation of grant and related materials, including preparing renewals and other grant reports, and maintaining accurate grant related records for the Leadership Education in Adolescent Health (LEAH) and Leadership in Pediatric Nutrition Program grants and the Division.

  • Provides administrative support, schedules classes, and develops brochures and educational material for LEAH and Nutrition faculty and trainees and supports LEAH and LEPN office activities including travel reimbursement, organizing conferences, onboarding trainees, office inventory, distribution and receipt of materials. Provides training/presentation materials for Division as needed.

  • Coordinates the didactic course for the trainees and plans continuing education LEAH and LEPN conferences including handouts, working with speakers and coordinating classes with the MCH Collaborative Network.

  • Responsible for data management, budget preparation and management, and data management for the LEAH and LEPN programs and the Division. Functions as QI/project data manager (data entry, developing charts and graphs) for LEAH, LEPN and the Division.

  • Assists with research activities and recruitment as necessary for Division.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to provide initiative, judgement and creativity in the resolution of complex problems. Detail oriented, ability to multitask and meet tight timelines, strong interpersonal skills Microsoft office expertise, database, survey and website management. Past leadership/supervisory experience

Salary Range: $43,890 - $71,320

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health and/or Education.
  • Experience in program management
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Organizational skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
