Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary
Student Assistant to the Production Operations & Safety Department at Dodge College of Film and Media.
Responsibilities
  • Organizing the film safety inbox and forwarding information to the relevant parties, including urgent follow ups and risk management requests/reports
  • Review that all applicable projects:
    • Are uploading/have uploaded their dailies to review for inconsistencies
    • Have uploaded their call sheets, safety meetings, and production reports (and included the relevant parties in email) and forwards any discrepancies
    • Have adhered to all pre-determined pre-pro checks such as safety plan, insurance guidelines, restricted filming activity approvals, etc.
  • Pre-screens general safety plans and if any of the “flag” checkboxes are checked, forwards for immediate review
  • First person to assess Restricted Filming Activity paperwork, ie Intimacy Request forms and flag for vetting.
  • Assists with assigning LearnUpon classes for those that have submitted to be Dodge-Authorized drivers
  • Assists with following up with their training, inputting training completion dates in the Dodge driver portal, and sends the necessary info to insurance for final checks
  • Flags any weapons permit requests or any weapons inspection requests
  • Possible set visits in future
  • Other duties assigned as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Must have passed the Production & Set Safety Course.
  • Ability to learn Production Safety processes.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing workflow.
  • Great communication and written skills.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to decipher operational and safety issues in both pre-production and production phases.
  • Previous experience with script breakdowns.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
