Position Description
The William H. Miller III Department of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University invites applications for a postdoctoral associate position in Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics.

The Overstreet group at Johns Hopkins University has an opening for a postdoctoral researcher who is interested in testing fundamental physics in AMO experiments. The successful candidate will participate in any or all of the following three projects:

-A laboratory-scale ytterbium atom interferometer, the goal of which is to perform broadband searches for ultralight dark matter.

-An experiment to demonstrate matter-wave interferometry with a nanoparticle.

-An optical interferometer for broadband axion-like particle detection.

The applicant will be expected to work closely with graduate and undergraduate students.

Applicants should have a PhD in physics prior to the start date and significant experimental research experience with atomic and optical systems.
