Position Summary:
The postdoctoral researcher will be part of a research team working on a biomimetic physical therapy system to augment and accelerate the physical rehabilitation of stroke patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The postdoctoral researcher will be expected to participate in the project’s work and lead a team of graduate and undergraduate researchers performing the following major tasks:
  • Product design and improvement, exploring larger scale manufacturing.
  • Theoretical modeling and simulation of the biomimetic system.
  • Data analysis.
  • Assisting the PI and the sponsor in grant writing for other funding of this project.
  • Supervise and participate in the system assembly and experimentation.


    • Participate in weekly meetings and help to prepare reports and presentations for project sponsor.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • A PhD in Mechanical Engineering required; successful PhD thesis defense with pending graduation will be considered
    • Experience with theoretical modelling and data analysis using Machine Learning is required.
