Job Summary
Postdoctoral research positions are available in the immunology laboratory of Chang H. Kim at the University of Michigan within the Department of Pathology and May H. Weiser Food Allergy Center. Successful candidates will become part of a highly productive and collaborative team of researchers in a modern, interconnected laboratory space. Within the group, there is a strong commitment to mentorship and an excellent track record of success for both academic and industrial career tracks. The positions will be funded from NIH research and training grants and institutional supports at the University of Michigan. Both domestic and international candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
PhD level research activities include literature search, critical thinking, designing and carrying out experiments, data management, writing papers, and maintaining research resources in the lab.
Opportunities exist in the following research areas:
1. Mucosal and systemic immunology and allergic immune responses
2. Development, migration and effector functions of innate lymphoid cells
3. Roles of gut microbial metabolites in regulation of immune cells
4. Roles of retinoic acid and its receptor in regulation of the immune system, focusing on T and DC regulation
5. Immunotherapies and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) therapies

Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in life science areas
High productivity demonstrated in publication record (quality and quantity)
Strong commitment to Immunology research demonstrated in publications
Proficiency in English and strong communication skills are necessary.
Desired Qualifications
In vivo research experience with rodents and human tissues
Experience with molecular biology and next generation sequencing analyses is preferred.
