Position Description
The Department of Sciences and Mathematics within the School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences (SIAS) at the University of Washington (UW) Tacoma projects the need for instruction in Chemistry during the 2025-26 academic year. We invite applications for Part-Time Lecturers Temporary from individuals with expertise and/or teaching experience in General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. These are part-time positions with quarterly (3-month) service periods that begin on September 16, December 16, and/or March 16.

The base salary range for this position will be $5597 per quarter per 5-credit course ($6717 per 6-credit laboratory course) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Qualifications
This position requires an earned PhD or MS (or foreign equivalent) in Chemistry or a related field at the time of appointment. Priority will be given to candidates with previous experience teaching at higher ed institutions. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We regret that we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.
