Job Summary
The School of Nursing at The University of Texas at Tyler invites applicants to apply for a full-time non-tenure-track, clinical assistant / associate professor faculty position at rank and salary commensurate with experience. The 9-month contract includes the option to work in summer as the nursing program is offered year-round. Positions are available at our Tyler campus. Review of applications will begin immediately, and the positions will remain open until filled.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary teaching responsibility in a nationally recognized online graduate nursing program
- Maintaining an active AGACNP practice
- Mentoring and advising students
- Participating in School and University service.
Required Qualifications
- Earned Doctorate in Nursing
- AGACNP certification with at least two (2) years of experience as an AGACNP
- Eligible for licensure in Texas
- Evidence of program of scholarship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate teaching experience

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code Section 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
