Online Learning Technology Manager

Job Summary

Manage, implement, coordinate use, and support the deployment of student, faculty, and staff technologies within the Division of Online Learning. In addition to supervising technologists in the Online Learning Division, the manager will also serve as a liaison and collaborate with various stakeholders at the College to integrate technical systems.


Essential Duties

Manage technical systems used in online instruction.
Evaluate and implement new technology resources to meet the needs of online instruction.
Supervise technologists in the Division.
Assess the functionality and necessity of existing and potential technology needs in Online Learning.
Evaluate unused capacity in existing systems and assist with the development of new and expanded uses for existing systems with College leadership.
Develop and deliver training, resources, and educational support related to online instruction within the College.
Document and maintain records related to protocols, processes, and resources related to technology.
Research, analyze, and prepare reports on various technology support within Academic Affairs.
Work directly with Academic and Student Affairs to support student success through technology.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Higher Education, or a related field.

3 years of related work experience.
Experience with various technology systems used in higher education, including but not limited to Learning Management Systems, Video Conferencing, ERP Systems and other instructional tools.

Project management experience.

Ability to apply problem-solving skills to resolve technical problems and issues.
Ability to perform responsibilities on one’s own initiative and with general supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex ideas in meaningful ways that can be explained to all audiences.
1 year System Administrator experience.
Ability to work in an office.


Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Information Technology, Higher Education, or a related field.

Experience providing professional development.
