The Department of Otolaryngology is seeing an Office Supervisor. This position will serve as the central project lead for executive and administrative activities, ensuring that daily operations run efficiently while supporting long-term departmental goals. The Office Supervisor will act as the primary coordinator for administrative planning, scheduling, and problem-solving for Department functions, including the oversight of office workflows, supply ordering, preparation of administrative reports, budgeting, and event/project management. The role manages work schedules, and supports professional development to promote staff engagement, accountability, and growth. 

The role will also provide high-level administrative support to faculty and senior staff, including prioritization and coordination of meetings, conferences, and appointments. Responsibilities include preparing meeting materials, collecting and analyzing data, composing correspondence, and developing marketing and promotional materials for departmental programs and events. The Supervisor Office ensures all materials are accurate, complete, and aligned with departmental and University standards. 



Job Summary

Oversees administrative operations, facilitates and schedules projects, serves as liaison between internal and external stakeholders, recommends organizational changes to increase effectiveness, and resolves issues. Assists with strategic plans and budgetary functions.


Essential Functions 

This position oversees executive and administrative workflows by coordinating daily operations and managing key departmental activities such as scheduling, reporting, budgeting, event coordination, and high‑level faculty support, ensuring accuracy and alignment with departmental standards. The role also leads major departmental events and collaborates closely with leadership to support both day‑to‑day functions and long‑term strategic goals.


Physical Effort 

Work is primarily performed in an office setting and requires regular computer use, sitting or standing for extended periods, and routine administrative movement such as walking, reaching, bending, and carrying materials or event supplies up to approximately 20–25 pounds. The position may occasionally require moving between meeting spaces or event locations and handling standard office equipment and documents.
