Performs a variety of independent and complex laboratory work and experiments using biological samples. Analyzes and interprets data, compiles results, and prepares data visualizations for the analysis of biological samples (metabolites, lipids, proteins) by liquid chromatography high resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS).  Some evening and weekend hours required.



Job Summary

Manages day-to-day laboratory operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices. Works with, adapts, and installs scientific equipment in research laboratories. Collaborates on routine projects and procedures. Manages inventory and equipment and performs budget functions.


Essential Functions 

Performs a variety of independent and complex laboratory work and experiments using biological samples. Analyzes and interprets data, compiles results, and prepares data visualizations for the analysis of biological samples (metabolites, lipids, proteins) by liquid chromatography high resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS).  Some evening and weekend hours required.


Physical Effort 

Walking around campus, sitting and standing for long periods, bending to lift and put away supplies. Walking to meetings around campus when necessary.

Reading small print.
