Job Summary
The Maintenance Worker II will provide skilled workmanship in performance of a variety of maintenance / repair tasks in one or more craft areas at a master level. This position is responsible for a wide variety of installation, maintenance, and trade specific work.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks
- Perform maintenance, repairs and operations on pumps, electrical, buildings, and other critical facilities assets including general building maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical, buildings, and other critical facilities assets.
- Assist with maintenance, construction, and project tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of experience in construction, general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or related trade.
- Valid driver license.
- Combination of training/experience/coursework will be considered in leu of requirements.
Preferred Education / Experience
- Five (5) years of experience in construction, general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or related trade master’s license.
- Experience in a higher education environment.
- License in relevant trade.

- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Knowledge of general maintenance operational practices.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
