The primary professional responsibilities are teaching lower and upper division courses in surveying such as GIS, photogrammetry and surveying principles and adjustments.
Prepare and deliver up-to-date coursework and course-related materials that meets established course outcomes.

Meet with courses at their scheduled times.

May be required to teach evenings, off-campus, or on-line.

Grade all course content and student work for assigned courses.

Maintain communication with students.

Maintain professional currency.

Professional involvement at local, state, and national levels.

Act as liaison between the program and professional organizations.

Directly responsible to the School Director.

Perform duties in accordance with established University policies.

Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty and staff to thrive authentically.

Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives.

Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.

Faculty members also have professional responsibilities that may include continuing professional development; participation in curriculum development and university committees; orientation, recruitment, and registration of students; keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (i.e. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach off-campus or in an on-line environment.
