Position Description


Advertised Job Summary
The School of Accounting in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina is seeking an accounting lecturer beginning July 1, 2026. Teaching loads are competitive with other top-level accounting positions. In addition to teaching responsibilities, this position is expected to perform internal service for the School of Accounting related to the management of the Master of Accountancy (MACC) program. This position will be responsible for managing student recruitment, admissions, retention, and academic and career advising for MACC students. This would occur during the academic year as well as over the summer. Additional financial support related to this service work and the related summer work responsibilities is negotiable.
All faculty searches are subject to the availability of funding.
Required Education and Experience
  • Candidates should have a master’s degree in accounting or related field and an active CPA license. 
  • In addition, a candidate should have 3 or more years of experience in the accounting field, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, and education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience at the university/college level is preferred.
