Learning Researcher - Bioprinting Stem Cells

The UNH Manchester campus employs eligible students through an NIH R15 grant (Principal Investigator Dr. Won Hyuk Suh). Students will work in Dr. Won Hyuk Suh's lab to learn and practice guided research involving the bioprinting human stem cells.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • The Suh Lab research projects focus on developing novel bioprinting methodologies for producing human stem cell-based organoids optimized for pharmacological screening.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate student in a Life Sciences degree is preferred. Ideal candidates will be able to continue with this position long-term, over multiple semesters.

  • Faculty recommendation is required.

  • Student will need to have prior or current tissue culture or qPCR experience.

  • Ability to work up to 20 hours per week, as needed.

  • Willingness to work during summer and winter breaks, as requested by their Principal Investigator.

  • This position will require handling materials including bio- and chemical hazardous materials, hazardous wastes, sharps materials, extreme temperature materials, materials ≤ 40 lbs. Training is provided as required for safety in workplace operations.
