| Job Summary/Basic Function | The Graduate Assistant will provide clerical and administrative support for the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP). The position is 20 hours per week, split between the IRB and OSP, with the bulk of effort usually in support of IRB.The IRB is a campus committee empowered by federal regulations to oversee research activities involving human subjects. The IRB is responsible for the review and monitoring of research involving human subjects in order to assure the protection of the rights and welfare of the subjects participating in research. OSP is a university department that assists faculty, staff, and students, in pursuing external funds for research, service, and programs. |
