Job Summary/Description
The Department of Security Studies and Criminal Justice (SSCJ) at Angelo State University invites applications for two non‑tenure‑eligible Instructors in Intelligence & Analysis (INA)/Border & Homeland Security (BOR). SSCJ delivers student‑focused academic programs designed to prepare graduates for success in multiple programs, including the Intelligence & Analysis (INA) and Border & Homeland Security (BOR) fields.
Typical Duties/Job Duties
Teach five (5) upper‑level undergraduate courses within the INA/BOR curriculum.
As departmental needs arise, provide instruction for graduate‑level courses in:
  • Intelligence & Analysis (ISSA)
  • Homeland Security (BOR)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of the Intelligence & Analysis (INA) and/or Border & Homeland Security (BOR) fields, supported by appropriate academic preparation.
  • Skill in teaching upper‑level coursework, demonstrated through prior instructional experience at the undergraduate or graduate level.
  • Ability to apply professional credentials and field expertise to effectively deliver curriculum in INA, BOR, or both areas.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires an earned master’s degree in Intelligence & Analysis (INA), Border & Homeland Security (BOR), or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Earned doctorate in Intelligence & Analysis, Border & Homeland Security, or a closely related field.
  • Academic qualifications, teaching experience, and professional credentials in both INA and BOR.
  • Ability to teach graduate courses in the Intelligence & Analysis (ISSA) and Homeland Security (BOR) programs.
  • Ability to contribute to program curriculum in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity.
