| Advertised Job Summary | Instructor of Computer Science University of South Carolina Upstate FAC00220PO25 Spartanburg, SC Faculty position to teach on the Spartanburg and/or Greenville campus. The department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of South Carolina Upstate invites applicants to apply for a non-tenure track Instructor of Computer Science position with a start date of August 16, 2026. Duties include teaching courses in computer science and cybersecurity, advising students, and participating in internal and external service activities. The candidate must have a commitment to excellence in teaching. Candidates with expertise in cybersecurity, network security, cloud security, digital forensics or secure programming practices are strongly encouraged to apply. The department offers degrees in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, and Cybersecurity. The University of South Carolina Upstate is a comprehensive public university and a senior institution of the University of South Carolina. U.S. News and World Report ranks USC Upstate among its Top Public Regional Colleges and No. 2 in South Carolina. A minimum of 6 hours is required of graduate coursework in one or more of the following areas: Cybersecurity, Network Security, Digital Forensics, or Software Security.
