HUMAN RESOURCES PARTNER MANAGER - (T233874)
Description
The Department of Surgery Chair's Office is in search for a HUMAN RESOURCES PARTNER MANAGER to independently manage human resource services to employees within a large complex department(s), college, or school. Collaborates with the VP, CIO, Dean, or Executive Director of Administrative Operations in the strategic coordination and managing of the fast-paced and ever-changing environment of Human Resources (HR) for a large department, school, or unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with Central HR and assists in all aspects of recruitment, compensation, benefits administration, employee training, employee relations, employee services, and equity coordination.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple departments, including employees and processes. Manages and supervises processes of UAB entities. Develops, maintains, implements, and updates standard operating procedures (SOPs) according to UAB policies.
Serves as first point of contact for Human Resource Partner (HRP) related issues within the unit.
Directs and communicates HR initiatives.
Responsible for dissemination and implementation of all HR-related changes and updates. Works with represented departments to ensure compliance with UAB and/or UAB Medicine Compensation guidelines.
Manages reporting deadlines, assures preparation of reports, and timely filings after appropriate approvals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
(Annual Salary: $73,945 - $115,000)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and ten (10) years of related experience required; degrees in Human Resources, Business or related fields are preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Work experience in HR Operations in complex organizational settings in the following areas: Employee relations or labor relations, Compensation or classification, Benefits coordination, Strategic workforce planning, HR compliance or policy development.
Preferred Skills:
Strong strategic thinking and organizational awareness
Demonstrated leadership in HR project management or policy implementation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with enterprise-level HR systems (e.g., TALEO, Oracle, PeopleSoft)
Experience in higher education or public sector HR
