UWMedicine Clinical Business Systems (CBS) has an opportunity for a Fixed Duration Fiscal Specialist 2.

Work Schedule

40 hr/week

Fixed Duration (Up to 1 year)

Hybrid Schedule (On site at least 3 days per week)

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Clinical Business Systems (CBS) within Patient Care Services supports HMC leaders and units with end-to-end fiscal and administrative services—including payroll processing, HR transactions, personnel file management, leave coordination, and reporting—to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant operations across a high-volume environment.
 

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• Lead accurate, on-time payroll processing and timekeeping reconciliation for HMC employees.
• Coordinate complex HR administrative activities with strong attention to detail and compliance.
• Serve as a trusted partner to managers and staff, emphasizing customer service and proactive problem solving.
• Adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reconcile time and attendance, resolve pay discrepancies, prepare leave calendars, and process related payroll actions.

• Prepare and track status change forms; maintain personnel files; support separations, transfers, and licensure tracking.

• Coordinate leave processes, ensure timecard accuracy, and partner with HR for compliance.

• Respond to staff and manager inquiries; maintain distribution lists; provide employment resources.

• Prepare reports, support special projects, and assist with onboarding and unit operations.

• Contribute to continuous improvement, teamwork, and service excellence.

Required Qualifications

Three years of experience providing administrative support in the area of fiscal and/or business management.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$25.05 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$33.68 hourly
