| Job Description Summary: | Disability Support Services Exam Proctor (Temp) Department Information Disability Support Services (DSS) at The George Washington University recognizes disability in the context of diversity. We work collaboratively with students, faculty and staff across the campus to foster a climate of universal academic excellence, while also promoting disability culture and GW’s broader diversity and inclusion initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Accessibility Associate, Test Proctoring, the Exam Proctor is responsible for overseeing testing, ensuring the identity of the test taker and the integrity of the test taking environment during: Undergraduate and Graduate Final Exams Saturday, May 2, 2026 through Friday, May 8, 2026 Summary Test proctoring is testing overseen by an authorized, neutral proctor, who ensures the identity of the test taker and the integrity of the test taking environment. In short, a proctor is a proxy for the instructor, who oversees a test. Test Proctoring Services may be administered through DSS whenever students are unable to arrange to take their exams in class. As defined by the ADA, “testing accommodations are changes to the regular testing environment and auxiliary aids and services that allow individuals with disabilities to demonstrate their true aptitude or achievement level on standardized exams or other high-stakes tests.” Student Check-In & Examination Timing

Logistics/Position Information GW Temps are advised to commute by Metro Rail to the D.C. area. We suggest not bringing your own vehicles to avoid the hassle of finding parking slots and or moving them every 2 hours as per D.C. regulations. There are no parking concessions for Exam Proctors. The train station that connects you directly to the office is Foggy Bottom-GWU. Campus Location: Foggy Bottom, Washington, D.C. College/School/Department: Disability Support Services, 801 22nd St., NW, Rome Hall, Suite 102 Hours Per Week: 40 hours total for finals week Finals Week Test Proctoring Hours: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm (Plan to arrive 45 minutes prior to your scheduled test proctoring assignment for the day). Work Schedule: Undergraduate and Graduate Final Exams
