| Job Summary | This is a seasonal COUNSELOR role for Club U’s 12-14 year old Varsity day camps. Counselors are responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills. Join us in furthering the mission of Club U Summer Day Camp through the delivery of summer program activities that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers’ age and abilities under the supervision of the Club U leadership team. |
| Responsibilities | 1. Supervise, direct, and manage behavior of groups of campers ages 12-14. 2. Lead and participate in activities such as field trips, swimming, sports, arts & crafts, and more. 3. Communicate with camper guardians, guests, and camp leadership staff on a daily basis. 4. Ability to obtain CPR & First Aid certification provided during training (if not already obtained). |
| Minimum Qualifications | Must demonstrate an interest in learning about child development and guidance; a willingness to take direction from the assigned teacher; Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) background check, first aid training are required. Demonstrated human relation and effective human relations skills are also required. |
| Preferences | Experience and/or interest in working with youth ages 12-14 in an a high energy, outdoor setting. At least 21 years of age (or 18+ with previous camp employment). |
