| About the Institution | Indiana State University is a Tier 2 national University with a Carnegie classification of doctoral/research. | Job Summary/Basic Function | The Camp Mentor in Training is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers while assisting teachers with classroom management, behavior guidance, and group transitions. Camp Mentors in training are expected to uphold the high standards of the university by demonstrating professionalism, responsibility, and a commitment to excellence.; ; SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:; —Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all campers at all times.; —Assist with classroom management, transitions, and behavior guidance.; —Engage campers with enthusiasm and creativity, making activities fun and memorable.; —Interact professionally with parents and guardians, providing excellent communication and a; welcoming atmosphere at drop-off and pick-up.; —Supervise and walk groups of 20-25 children between rooms and buildings on campus.; —Participate in activities upon arrival.; —Participate in swimming activities in the campus pool, and all other activities campers attend; throughout the week. |
