Job DescriptionMinnesota State College Southeast seeks aCybersecurity and Networking Instructor in our program, dedicated to excellence in teaching, who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community.The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary and cross-culturalperspectives.Faculty members at Minnesota State College Southeast are professionally active scholars who participate in departmental and campus-wide activities to enhance their disciplines, promote interdisciplinary discourse and collaboration, and advance the college mission. The instructor may earn unlimited status upon completion of six successful probationary semesters.EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:Participate in department and college curriculum development.Deliver classroom, web-enhanced and/or online course instruction.Conduct classroom research and other assessment/evaluation activities.Mentor and advise students.Participate in committee assignments and college-wide initiatives.Participate in department accreditation and review.Engage in scholarly and other professional development activities.Advocate on behalf of students, program and college.Collaboration on public and private construction initiatives.Course assignments mayinclude day, evening, and weekend hours; and off-site locationsSalary Range:$43,067-$71,893Full-time faculty salaries are based on an evaluation of education and related experience. Full-time faculty work 171 days during a nine-month academic year and receive excellent benefits including health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, short and long-term disability, paid personal and sick leave, retirement savings plans, tuition waiver for employees and dependents, professional development funds, along with many optional benefit programs.** Please note, Initial Step Placement is established by the Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF) contract which sets limitations to the initial salary of a new faculty member. This may differ from the maximum salary range in this posting.Minimum QualificationsEducation RequirementAssociate degree in a computer or information technology field.Occupational Experience RequirementFour full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in networking, network administration, cybersecurity and forensics.Recency RequirementOne year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.Teaching and Learning Competency RequirementMust meet the Teaching and Learning Competency Requirement prior to the end of probation.Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for the Minnesota State credential fieldComputer Systems Networking Preferred QualificationBachelor?s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, or equivalent.Experience administering Windows Server, networking infrastructure, and security controls in a business environment.Experience with cloud platforms, virtualization, scripting, vulnerability assessment, incident response, risk management, and compliance.Experience teaching in online or hybrid formats and developing hands-on labs.AboutMinnesota State College Southeast is an open-access, public, not-for-profit comprehensive technical and community college.We pride ourselves on being a friendly, student-centered college.Our campuses are located in the historic river towns of Red Wing and Winona, set sixty miles apart along the Mississippi.
