| Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit | The Department of Communication Studies is a vibrant community of 14 full-time faculty with expertise across a range of communication subdisciplines, including interpersonal, organizational, health, environmental, digital, and instructional communication. Our researchers advance scholarship using social scientific, interpretive, and community-engaged methodologies (including qualitative, rhetorical, auto/ethnographic, and narrative approaches). All department instructors leverage their diverse expertise to prepare students to build strong relationships, collaborate and lead effectively, craft audience-centered messages, and drive meaningful change across varied contexts. Teaching in the department emphasizes engaged and experiential learning, reflecting a commitment to the practical application of communication theory and concepts. The department’s BA program enrolls over 200 students, while the MA program serves approximately 20. |
| Position Summary | The Department of Communication Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Communicating Innovation.
