Summary

We are seeking a researcher to work on the synthesis and optical characterization of inorganic colloidal nanoparticles. The position focuses on developing solution-phase synthetic routes to semiconductor nanocrystals and probing their photophysical properties using steady-state and time-resolved spectroscopic techniques.

Essential Functions

  • Synthesize colloidal inorganic nanoparticles with controlled size, composition, and morphology
  • Perform ligand exchange, shell growth, and heterostructure engineering
  • Characterize nanomaterials using optical spectroscopy (UV-Vis absorption, photoluminescence, time-resolved PL, transient absorption)
  • Analyze structure-property relationships relevant to energy and optoelectronic applications
  • Maintain detailed experimental records and contribute to publications and presentations
