Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Admissions Assistant for the College of Entertainment & Music Business will serve as a representative of the college while collaborating with the Admissions Coordinator to complete administrative tasks, join and lead academic information session presentations for prospective students, and assist with coordinating social media and Marketing content.

Responsibilities:
- Support Admissions Coordinator in various administrative tasks such as writing and mailing postcards to prospective students, printing and mailing letters, assembling admit gift packages, etc.
- Assist with college academic information sessions on Mondays and Fridays at 11 AM
- Collaborate with the Curb College social media team to create engaging social media posts that highlight the student experience and successes within the college
- Attend events as needed to capture social media content and take photos
- Conduct research on social media trends, higher education news, and market comparisons for similar academic programs
- Assist in preparation for large visit days including Preview Days, Future Bruin Fridays & Be Belmont Day
- Assist with outreach campaigns to prospective students and families


Required Qualifications

* Applicant must have FWS to be considered *

- Must possess a professional & positive demeanor, while having good phone and social etiquette
- Must be punctual, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality
- Must have a willingness to learn new skills
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel & social channels including Instagram, Facebook & LinkedIn
- Must have Federal Work Study to be considered
- Must be available to assist with academic information sessions on Mondays and Fridays at 11 AM

Preferred Skills:

- Competent interpersonal communication and public speaking abilities
- Knowledgeable in Canva & willing to learn and follow best practices when posting to Instagram, Facebook & LinkedIn
- Willingness to stay up-to-date on social media trends that will increase engagement and are appropriate for the college to participate in
- Marketing experience preferred
- Great penmanship preferred
- Student will preferably be engaged socially within the College of Entertainment & Music Business in order to stay informed about current student events and create content


   
Required Education Must be enrolled as a student at Belmont University. 
   
Required Experience At least one year of experience in Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications.
