Position Summary
The Clinical Study Coordinator will coordinate clinical research projects at the Mind & Brain Health Labs (MBHL, Department of Neurological Sciences) aimed at improving patient health, disease treatment, and quality of life in individuals who are aging or have neurological, psychiatric, or chronic medical disorders. The work will focus on coordinating, supporting, and administering research participant exams and assessments, engaging with the medical and broader community, and monitoring patient safety and research progress. Coordinate clinical research projects from start to finish to support successful communication, coordination, and work across a multidisciplinary healthcare team and a diverse research team to meet project goals.
The Clinical Study Coordinator will be independent, responsible, accountable, self-motivated, a strong and adept communicator, and able to complete detailed tasks accurately and with quality. Adhere to project regulatory protocols (e.g., UNMC, FDA, IRB, HIPAA, lab, sponsor, federal) to meet research participant safety and confidentiality, data quality and security, and successful project operation needs. The Clinical Study Coordinator will be able to work with a diverse team of individuals and maintain effective and professional working relationships in a variety of environments (e.g., clinical, research, community).

Preferred Experience:
1. Experience with human subjects research/regulations/study conduct, participant
recruitment, data collection, and test administration/evaluation or experience working
with patients in clinical or other settings, including clinical evaluation/exams, HIPAA, and
medical records.
2. Experience working with elderly, patient, and impaired populations.

2. Computer skills including advanced Microsoft Office Excel knowledge (e.g., formulas, macros, graphing), Adobe Photoshop, medical records (EPIC/ OneChart), research databases (REDCap), and general computer/IT technical troubleshooting ability/knowledge.
3. Programming ability, particularly statistical programming (R, Python).
4. Knowledge of research best practices, data quality management and human subjects research regulations
