Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, current bargaining unit employees have priority consideration for this position if they apply within seven (7) days of the posting date. After this period, all applicants will be considered equally.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing repairs, preventive maintenance, QA, electrical safety installation and technical advice on a variety of clinical and non-clinical electronic and electromechanical equipment, including computers, printers, and secondary responsibility for Telecommunications equipment.
Education/Skills Required:
1. Associate Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology preferred.
2. Valid driver's license required.
3. Previous electronic experience and/or internship required.
4. Military or manufacturer training/experience may be acceptable.
5. Required skills and knowledge: anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, chemistry, biology, physics, electronic theory (including digital theory), troubleshooting theory, and medical equipment theories; as well as strong organizational and mechanical skills.
As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
